DESCRIPTION:This is a drop-in\, self lead activity/scavenger hunt on the grounds of the Folsom Tavern. \nMasks are required per ordinance of Town of Exeter. \nWhile many fought courageously on the battlefield during the Revolutionary War\, an elite network of individuals worked behind the scenes\, risking their lives to conduct covert intelligence operations that greatly impacted the outcome of the war. The Culper Spy Ring was the most prestigious and important of the espionage networks. \nStop by the grounds of the Folsom Tavern anytime from now though the end of September to begin your mission as a spy! Solve three riddles to work your way across the grounds\, leading you to your final destination where you will receive a make your own cipher wheel kit! No sign up necessary! \nYour mission begins under the outdoor water spigot at the back of the tavern\, near the side stairs. \nProtect your secrets and yourself! Please keep 6 feet from other spy ring members on museum grounds. Hand sanitizer is provided on your quest.

DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, October 3\, 3pm to 5pm \n$15 – Adults\n$10 – Members/Seniors/Veterans & Active or Retired Military\n$7 – Children ages 6-18\n$5 – Member Children ages 6-18 \nJoin us on the lawn of Folsom Tavern for our socially distanced* concert series this October. As part of our re-imagined American Independence Festival\, this concert series invites guests to enjoy the talents of excellent local musicians who are not only wonderful performers\, but also stewards of musical culture\, history\, and traditional folkways.\n \nFirst up\, we welcome father and son duo The Fiddling Thomsons! Ryan Thomson is a multi-instrumentalist performer who plays the fiddle\, accordion\, banjo\, Celtic flute\, piano\, and pennywhistle. His family’s musical heritage stretches back to the pioneer days. Ryan performs often with Brennish Thomson\, his fiddling son\, who is carrying forward his family’s music traditions.\n\n\n                                                                                                  The Concerts on the Lawn music series is presented through a grant from New Hampshire State Council on the Arts\, sponsorship from Newburyport Bank\, and in partnership with the Exeter Area YMCA.\n \nAdvanced registration is required for this event. Rain date\, Sunday\, October 4.\n \n*For the safety of guests\, performers\, and museum staff/volunteers\, COVID procedures and protocols are strictly enforced and clearly stated on the event registration page.
